A great short set featuring mostly new songs but also 1 track from the Mike Roe produced Love Coma album (the 2 were on tour together when this show was recorded). Laughing At The Universe is the standout track here and one of the highlights of his studio album Travelers Hotel

This album was recorded live by Bruce Neher in Denver, CO on Friday April 4, 2014 at the Park House while I was on tour with Michael Roe of the 77's. Armed with only my acoustic guitar and harmonica... this recording captures my songs in their bare essence, played for an audience who is watching me for the first time.

Musically and thematically, Lands & Peoples continues in the same direction as Dolorosa and Winnowing before it. Here, mid-tempo, shuffling confessions and introspections weave between folkier tales of the ghosts of America(s), past and present. The High Desert reprises her starring role as the whispering, mysterious spirit who just might reveal a longed-for America of the future, as well. Lands & Peoples longs for better things, even if they all turn to dust in the end. Craigory Bacon
